Scrubs used to be utilitarian at best, ugly and shapeless at worst. Today, scrubs come in a variety of styles and designs, meaning anyone can find a fit and color they like.

One of the nice things about being a nurse is being able to dress comfortably for work. Scrubs make life easier and are without doubt so much more comfortable than being required to wear formal work attire. With as much as nurses do, being on the go, moving and lifting, and generally being active almost non-stop, not at least being in comfortable clothes would be cruel. Plus, scrubs are the most practical attire available.

Tob scrub brand for nurses

When you shop for scrubs, you have several factors to consider – durability fit and price will undoubtedly play a role in your decision. Unlike the old days, nurses now have tons of options to choose from. It’s not just more brands, but more colors, patterns, styles and fits. Modern scrubs are fashionable without sacrificing comfort or practicality.

With more options comes the obvious problem of wading through all that is available to find what is right for you. Here we have included our five favorite options to help make the search a little easier.

Cherokee

With several different styles, Cherokee is one of the best known brands you can find when it comes to scrubs. Cherokee is noted for durable construction from sturdy materials that do not sacrifice comfort. If you are looking for basic style scrubs from a company with a track record for quality at an affordable price, Cherokee is possibly your best bet.

Dickies

Dickies has a long history producing scrubs and an excellent reputation for quality. Over the years, Dickies evolved from a few basic styles to a line with not only options for colors and prints, but fabrics and fits as well. Dickies is one of the most recognized, and trusted, names in scrubs.

Grey’s Anatomy

Inspired by the TV show bearing the same name, these scrubs are a bit pricier than most competitors, but not so much so as to be unreasonable by any means. These scrubs are made to be durable and comfortable with a signature style slimming effect that helps you show off your figure without losing comfort.

IguanaMed

IguanaMed is not as well-known as many other brands, but that won’t be true for long. For a relatively new brand, IguanaMed can boast an impressive roster of satisfied customers who have fallen in love with the sporty style material they use to produce a very stretchy and highly breathable garment. These are more expensive scrubs than most, but people that have used them swear by their quality and comfort.

Koi

Koi is known for outside the box designs on very durable and comfortable materials. Koi isn’t for everyone as they are very different, yet still fashionable, but their quality is never in question. Despite rising in popularity very quickly, their price is still quite affordable.
